WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University track & field team continued the outdoor season with the nearby George Mason Invitational, hosted by the Patriots in Fairfax, Va. The Hoyas put up strong times, especially in the middle distance events where a slew of Hoyas finished with top times.

Georgetown won the women's 4x400-meter relay as the foursome of All-Americans Amanda Kimbers (Baltimore, Md./McDonogh), Chelsea Cox (Manahawkin, N.J./Southern Regional), Sabrina Southerland (New York, N.Y./Benjamin N. Cardozo) and Rachel Schneider (Dover, N.H./St. Thomas Aquinas) won the event with a time of 3:43.97. It was the first time the foursome had competed together.

Kimbers also ran the third-fastest time in the women's 100-meter dash prelims with a time of 16.71 but did not run in the finals so she could be fresh for the leadoff of the 4x400m.

Running unattached, All-American Katrina Coogan (Exeter, N.H./Phillips Exeter Academy) took first place in the women's 1,500-meter relay with a time of 4:21.73. She led a quintet of Hoyas to top-10 times with All-American Andrea Keklak (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury/Princeton) finishing third (4:22.60), followed by All-American Hannah Neczypor (Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton) in sixth (4:25.90), Samantha Nadel (Glen Head, N.Y./North Shore) in ninth (4:26.28) and Rachel Paul (Farmingville, N.Y./Sachem East) in 10th (4:26.12).

Coogan also recorded the best time in the women's 800-meter run with an unattached time of 2:07.91 with Schneider following up in fifth (2:08.02), Becca DeLoache (Charlotte, N.C./Myers Park) in sixth (2:08.33) and Southerland in seventh (1:48.01).

The women's 3,000-meter steeplechase saw Bobbie Burgess (West Lafayette, Ind./West Lafayette) place third with a time of 11:21.70.

All-American Deseree King (Oxon Hill, Md./Oxon Hill) placed fourth in the women's 400-meter dash (55.08) as she doubled up on events today, also competing in the women's 200-meter dash (12th, 24.83).

All-American Billy Ledder (Washington, D.C./Gonzaga) finished fourth in the men's 800-meter dash with a time of 1:48.01.

Four Hoyas finished in the top 10 of the men's 1,500-meter run with All-American Amos Bartelsmeyer (St. Louis, Mo./Saint Louis Country Day) leading the way with a fifth-place time of 3:46.04. All-Americans Ryan Manahan (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) and Ahmed Bile (Annandale, Va./Annandale) finished seventh (3:46.71) and eighth (3:47.01), respectively, followed by Cole Williams (San Francisco, Calif./Occidental College) in ninth, timing in at 3:47.20.

The Hoyas continue the season on April 18-19 splitting sites between the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., and the Larry Ellis Invitational in Princeton, N.J.
