WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University track & field team secured 11 men and eight women on the 2018 All-BIG EAST Indoor Track & Field Squad, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. The announcement came after the Hoyas tallied four event tiles at the 2018 BIG EAST Indoor Track & Field Championships en route to a fourth-place finish on the men’s side and a fifth-place finish for the women.
With 11 men named All-BIG EAST, Georgetown is tied for second among conference institutions with Villanova tallying 18 and Marquette matching GU’s 11. For the women, eight athletes receiving the nod ranks fourth in the league behind Villanova (14), DePaul (13) and St. John’s (9).
For his efforts over the weekend, All-American Jonathan Green was named the meet’s Most Outstanding Men’s Track Performer, just the second Hoya to receive the honor.
The Blue & Gray returns to action March 3-4 at the IC4A/ECAC Championships held in Boston.
