WASHINGTON - The Georgetown track & field program will send 17 student-athletes to compete in 11 events at the 2013 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships - East Preliminary. The event will be held at Irwin Belk Track on the campus of the University of North Carolina - A&T in Greensboro, N.C.
Four of the 17 student-athletes will be double entered in two events with three members of the women's 4x400-meter relay squad competing in an individual event as well. Andrew Springer will double up in individual events with a showing in both the men's 5,000-meter run as well as the 10,000-meter run.
Springer will run in the 10,000-meter run on Thursday, May 23 with a start time of 9:40 p.m. Springer joins Brian King as the two Hoyas entered in the 48-person event.
