Women's Golf Finishes Eighth at BIG EAST Championship

WASHINGTON - Sophomore Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Bayside) tied for 14th place and the Georgetown University women's golf team finished in eighth place at the BIG EAST Championship, played at the Reunion Resort in Florida.
South Florida shot an 18-over 306 in the final round and won the BIG EAST title at 46-over par 910, one shot ahead of second place Notre Dame (47-over par 911). Louisville finished third (54-over par 918) and Seton Hall was fifth (79-ove par 943). Georgetown placed eighth among eight teams at 103-over par 967.
The Hoyas shot a 36-over par 324 in Tuesday's final round.
Choi posted an 8-over par 80 in the third round and tied for 14th place in the field of 40 golfers at 19-over par 235. Choi shot a 3-over par 75 in Sunday's first round and followed that with back-to-back scores of 8-over par 80.
Junior Katie Skinner (Boise, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) tied for 27th place at 27-over par 243, posting a 9-over par 81 in the final round.
Senior Joan Dulieu (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Detroit Country Day) finished in 29th place at 28-over par 244 and senior Eunae Jo (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) was one shot back at 29-over par 245. Junior Audrey Dalton (Portland, Ore./St. Mary) finished in 40th place at 40-over par 256.
